Enduring Wilderness Takes Shape
It has been a while since the last major update, but a lot has changed behind the scenes.
One of the biggest changes is that I followed through on learning C# and moving development over to Unity. That shift has opened up a lot more possibilities for the kind of game I want to build, especially compared to the older Python-based approach I started with.
The main project now is Enduring Wilderness, a step-counter survival RPG built around exploration, gathering, progression, and long-term survival.
Before Enduring Wilderness, I was working on Dark Wilderness, a survival RPG idea made in Python. That project helped shape a lot of the early direction, but over time I realized the concept could become something more interesting if it was combined with real-world step counter mechanics.
Instead of building two separate projects, I decided to merge those ideas into one game. Enduring Wilderness now carries forward the survival RPG foundation of Dark Wilderness while adding the walking-based progression that makes the project feel more unique.
The website has also been updated to better match this direction. The layout is cleaner, the pages are easier to navigate, and the site is better prepared for future updates around the game.
There is still a lot of work ahead, but the project has a much clearer identity now. Enduring Wilderness is the main focus moving forward.
