Moving Toward Unity
Code.Net was the first program I created, and it played an important role in helping me learn programming and Python.
At the time, it gave me a way to experiment, build systems, and understand the basic structure of software development. It also helped me figure out that I wanted to keep moving toward game development.
As I pushed further, though, the limits of using Python for games became more obvious. I spent a lot of time stretching frameworks beyond what they were really meant for, and in some cases I was building my own systems just to make basic game features work the way I wanted.
That experience taught me a lot, but it also made one thing clear: if I wanted to build larger and more complete games, I needed a stronger foundation.
Over the past year, I have been learning Unity and C#. Using a real game engine has already made a major difference. Unity provides tools, structure, and a development workflow that make it much easier to build the kind of projects I originally had in mind.
Because of that, future game development will be moving forward in Unity.
This also means starting a new project, but it is a necessary step. The next project will be built with a stronger foundation from the beginning, with features and ideas that would have been much harder to create using the old setup.
More information about the new project will be shared as development continues.
